The Journey to Your Ceremony
-
Step 1: Free Introductory Meeting
We'll meet by phone, video call, or in person for a no-obligation chat. This is your chance to ask questions, tell me about your wedding vision, and see if we're a good fit. There's no pressure – just a conversation to see if we click.
-
Step 2: Booking
Love what you've heard? Brilliant! I'll send over a contract and invoice for your deposit. Once that's sorted, your date is secured in my diary and we can get started properly.
-
Step 3 Planning meeting
This is where I really get to know you as a couple. We’ll meet to discuss your ceremony in detail and we’ll work in whatever way that suits you - whether that’s video calls, emails or texts. Need inspiration? I’ve got loads of ideas. Got a clear vision already? Perfect, let’s bring it to life.
-
Step 4 Getting to know you
Following our meeting, I’ll send over my couples questionnaire. Take your time with these - they’re designed to capture all the lovely details about how you met, your journey together and what matters most to you.
-
Step 5: Script Creation
This is where I disappear and work my magic. Using everything we've discussed and your questionnaire responses, I'll craft a bespoke ceremony script that tells your story authentically. No templates, no generic scripts – just you.
-
Step 6: First Draft Delivery
You'll receive your ceremony script at least two months before your wedding. Read it through (together or separately – your choice), sit with it, and let me know what you think.
-
Step 7: Refinements
We'll make any tweaks, changes, or adjustments in good time before the big day.
-
Step 8: Final Preparations
In the weeks leading up to your wedding, we'll have a final check-in to go over any last-minute details, confirm timings, and make sure everything's ready.
-
Step 9: Your Big Day
I'll arrive at your venue early (usually about an hour before the ceremony) to do a sound check (if needed), meet with your photographer and other suppliers, and ensure everything's set. Then I'll deliver your ceremony with warmth, confidence, and a big dollop of fun.
-
Step 10: After Your Wedding
I'll provide digital copies of all your ceremony materials, as well as printed copies of your vow booklets as a keepsake and I'll stay in touch for any future celebration needs – vow renewals, naming ceremonies, whatever life brings your way.

The Legal Bit
Here's the thing about England: independent celebrants can't legally marry you yet (the law commission has recommended changes, but we're not quite there).
So you’ll need to visit your local register office with two witnesses. Most couples do this before their ceremony and it usually takes 20 minutes. Some register offices call it a "statutory signing" or "short signing."
Then we get to focus on what really matters – creating a ceremony that celebrates your love without restrictions.
The legal bit is simple. Your ceremony with me? That's where the magic happens.
